Derrick Low is currently playing professional basketball for SPO Rouen in the Pro A league in France. In between his pro basketball stints with the Sydney Spirit and SPO Rouen, Derrick worked out with Tactical Strength & Conditioning. Derrick is no stranger to Tactical, having first trained with Coach Darin while in high school at Iolani. Tactical worked with several Iolani teams, including boys basketball and then later boys volleyball, of which Derrick was a member of the teams.

Derrick had an illustrious high school career. In each of his last three seasons at Iolani, they won the state boys basketball title and he was named the High School State Player of the Year and Gatorade State Player of the Year. Derrick will also probably be known as one of the best basketball players to have played at Washington State. The former All Pac-10 guard helped lead WSU to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament in his senior season and is ranked highly on WSU’s all-time lists in numerous categories.

It was great to watch Derrick in high school and then later at Washington State. He’s a really humble guy and a hard-worker. We love it that he’s always up to the challenge! Derrick is having a great season and we look forward to working with him in the off-season.

Here’s a video of one of Derrick’s training sessions with Tactical.
