  • Data-driven, Velocity-based Training Programs
We use velocity-based training methodology because it offers a dynamic and personalized approach to sports performance training.  By focusing on the speed of movement, we can optimize training intensity for each individual, leading to more efficient and effective workouts. This method allows for real-time feedback and helps prevent overexertion or inadequate effort, ultimately leading to improved performance and results.
Velocity-based training (VBT) can improve sports performance in several ways:
  1. Specificity: VBT allows for tailoring training to match the specific demands of a sport. By measuring and targeting the speeds of movement relevant to a particular activity, athletes can better replicate the conditions they’ll face in competition.
  2. Optimized Intensity: VBT helps determine the optimal load or resistance for a given exercise on a particular day. This ensures that athletes are working at an intensity level that is appropriate for their current state of readiness, reducing the risk of overtraining or undertraining.
  3. Power Development: Power is a crucial component of many sports, and VBT helps train power more effectively. By tracking movement speed, athletes can focus on explosive movements that are key to sports like sprinting, jumping, and throwing.
  4. Technique Refinement: Monitoring movement speed can help identify and correct technique deficiencies. It provides immediate feedback, allowing athletes and coaches to make adjustments in real time to ensure proper form and execution.
  5. Fatigue Management: VBT helps manage fatigue during training sessions. By adjusting loads based on an athlete’s performance on a given day, it reduces the risk of pushing too hard when the body is not adequately prepared.
  6. Injury Prevention: VBT can contribute to injury prevention by ensuring that athletes are not pushing beyond their capabilities, which can lead to overuse injuries or muscle strains.
  7. Objective Measurement: It provides objective data on an athlete’s performance, which can be tracked over time. This allows for a more systematic and evidence-based approach to training.
  8. Motivation and Engagement: Seeing real-time feedback on performance can be motivating for athletes. It provides a tangible measure of progress and can help maintain engagement and focus during training sessions.

Overall, velocity-based training provides a dynamic, personalized, and data-driven approach to training. It complements traditional training methods and leads to more efficient and effective preparation for competition.
  • Expert Coaching
Our coaches have a solid foundation of strength training principles, including academic and professional credentials of at least a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field, plus certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  We continue to further our knowledge through professional development activities; attending national conferences and clinics that focus on strength training and performance enhancement, including mentoring under Mark Verstegen, founder and president of Athletes’ Performance
  • Individualized Programs
Our clients range in age, sports, and skill level. No matter what your goal is, at Tactical Strength & Conditioning we will develop a program tailored just for you. Each athlete's training is individually designed to improve performance in such areas as power, agility and endurance. Improvements in these areas translate to improved performance in their respective sports; our athletes become stronger, quicker, and improve their overall physical condition.
  • State-of-the-Art Equipment
Our facility creates an environment that fosters optimal performance. Athletes are actively engaged in their training, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. We want our athletes to work not only with the best coaches, but also the best equipment. Utilizing equipment from performance equipment leaders such as Keiser, Woodway, Power Lift, TP Technologies, PowerBlock.
